To achieve a beautiful, natural application of permanent makeup, your technician should have knowledge of the skin and its undertones; the structure of the face; color theory; and experience as a licensed "makeup" artist.  Your technician must also have passion for her work or you may end up with a "one fits all" application that you are stuck with for a long time to come.  Please make sure that any and all procedures are drawn on with a makeup pencil and approved by you prior to performing the permanent application.

My name is Marie Caraccioli and I am a Licensed Medical Esthetician and Permanent Makeup Artist.  I am extremely passionate about my work and my "word of mouth" referrals prove it.  I have spent years studying the face, its structure, symmetry, characteristics, and individuality.  Because we are all different and unique, what looks great on one face may be unflattering to another.

Permanent makeup procedures are semi-invasive, in that the skin is broken in order for the implantation of pigment to occur.  This is not meant to scare you but rather to inform you.  It is important that your technician is well trained in both makeup artistry and cross-contamination prevention.  Look at the facility.  The floor, chairs, and countertops should be clean and orderly.  Make sure that FDA approved chemicals are used for cleaning and disinfecting. It is important that you are comfortable with the appearance of the facility, as well as, your technician.

Permanent makeup requires maintenance.  All color fades, whether it be paint, fabric, hair, furniture, as well as permanent makeup.  How much fading occurs depends on many variables but mainly sun exposure, so your permanent makeup investment should be protected by wearing sunscreen, avoiding excessive sun exposure, and by using sunglasses.

Permanent makeup is a simple, non-surgical, para-medical procedure that allows pigment to be placed into the dermal layer of the skin using a multiple pronged probe. Because of the high quality topical anesthetizing agents we use, our clients notice little or no discomfort.  Some clients describe the sensation as being similar to tweezing their eyebrows. However, once the topical anesthetizing agents have completely taken effect, most clients are totally relaxed.  Many have even taken a nap during the procedure.

Permanent makeup is the answer for active people who don't want to take the time to apply makeup. It is also perfect for individuals with poor eyesight, limited hand and arm motion. If hot, humid weather or oily skin is causing your makeup to smear and run, this is the answer to your problem. In general, permanent makeup is for those who want to look their best all of the time. It will never come off at night, in the pool, or wherever you are!

Clients choose to have their permanent makeup procedures performed at Carabella Facial Spa because as an experienced makeup specialist, I  know how to make each woman, or man, look her or his natural best.  I work closely with each individual to create the best and most flattering makeup design that will enhance his or her own natural beauty and facial features.  Following the facial consultation, I use regular cosmetics to create a temporary design of the brows, eyes, or lips. Once an agreement has been made on the shape and color of the design, I will begin the procedure.

Beautiful Eyebrows - Hair Stroke or Powdered

I will thoroughly analyze your features and design brows to suit your face in its entirety while complimenting every feature. The eyebrow is the “power feature” of the face and influence the total symmetry of the face.  A well-designed brow has the potential to create a youthful lift. My method results in a softer, more natural appearance, unlike the solid filled-in tattooed eyebrows of 10 years ago.

With permanent eyebrows you will never again have to spend time figuring out placement and matching up your arches. You can avoid the embarrassing situation such as having your brows smear off during outdoor activities.

Regardless of the reason for brow hair loss, eyebrows can be brought back to a perfect shape and color with permanent cosmetics. Soft, subtle, and beautiful eyebrows can be created using advanced techniques in design and shading. My detailed techniques lend movement, depth, and dimension. Brows appear totally natural and lend personal freedom from the laborious chore of applying them each morning. 

Eyeliner and Lash Enhancement

Eyes: they communicate, captivate, smile and can speak silently, yet with incredible intensity. This is where we engage with another’s face. Like a fine painting, I frame them with natural color and this is called permanent eyeliner.  I can give lift and lengthen the shape of your eyes, even make them appear larger and more animated. Permanent eyeliner provides a beautiful frame of color that can even be seen through eyeglasses, making eye color vibrantly sparkle and dance.

Permanent eyeliner stays where regular over-the-counter makeup can’t even go: between the lashes. The lash enhancement is a process where pigment is gently placed between the lashes to provide a truly magnificent and natural frame that softly surrounds the eyes.

I will work with you to design your permanent eyeliner to your taste and assist you with what flatters your eyes best. The lash enhancement and permanent eyeliner are a favorite among people on the go, allergy sufferers, and those with contact lens sensitivities. No running or smearing from regular eyeliners ever again!  My state-of-the-art techniques utilize an effective topical anesthetic to maintain client comfort.

Lip Liner, Full Lip Color and Lip Reshaping

Permanent lip liner can be applied to give more definition, correct uneven lips or add fullness to the lips. Many clients decide to have the lip liner slightly blended into the lips for a less defined liner look. 

Defining lips by adding even the slightest amount of color can wake up any face. In most women, lips will tend to appear smaller with age. With permanent lip color, lips can be made to appear slightly or dramatically fuller and these results are extremely feminine and youthful. Permanent lip color also allows you to reshape irregular lips. Some women even notice that when they do wear lipstick, it no longer fans around the edges, nor does it run.

Full lip color can be applied in either a natural hue or a more vivid color. The perceived fullness of lips can be greatly enhanced without the need for painful and temporary fat/collagen injection. Most clients choose to have a soft tone and apply different shades of lipstick over the permanent lip color for a more dramatic look.

Permanent Makeup is a form of tattooing but we don't use the typical coil machine most tattoo parlors utilize. I use a state of the art digital machine, Nouveau Contour that causes less trauma to the tissue. Being far less invasive, the gentle motion deposits pigment into the skin with little or no discomfort. Most women compare this sensation to having their brows tweezed.

Nouveau Contour system is the easiest and gentlest way to implant permanent color into the skin. The needle configurations are designed to provide maximum comfort, fast healing, complete control, little or no touchups, and most important of all, the most natural look in the world.

Our pigments of choice are the SofTap® pigments.  In addition to fresh pigments and inorganic ingredients, we only use disposable needles, brushes, and spatulas. Your permanent makeup is applied in a clean and sterile environment.  A patch test is suggested to qualify any color changes that may take place with the undertones of an individual's skin and for a reaction to the pigments as a precautionary measure.

Our methods offer maximum comfort. The first question that our client's, friends and family ask them after a procedure is, "Did it hurt?" The most common answers are, "It wasn't bad at all", "I fell asleep", "Tweezing hurts more", I'm going back to get everything else done". We strive to provide the maximum amount of comfort for all procedures. It is so gentle. You have to feel it to believe it.

Finally, our permanent makeup application prices range from $325 to $500 for each procedure. We often have clients who come to us for correction work. Because the client had previously selected a technician based on a cheaper price, some of the work performed was beyond repair. Therefore, make sure you take your time and find a qualified technician. You have only one face; make a smart choice!
